Our MissionThe Mission of the PVC PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families, educators, administrators and our community to advocate for all of our children.
The PVC PTA funds a wide range of enrichment programs, field trips, school supplies, reading materials and hospitality services. We are a non-profit organization registered with the NYS PTA. To learn more about us, read our by-laws. For more information about NYS PTAs, visit their website. |

- All Grades: Paul Volponi Author Visit and Books, Korean Spirit Art Presentation and Lotus Lantern Workshop, CHHS Alumni Against Sexual Violence Presentation, GLSEN Transgender Presentations
- 8th Graders: Trip to the Paramount and Boat Dance
- 7th Graders: Clearpool Trip and Book Club Vision Boards
- 6th Graders: Spring Trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art
- 5th Graders: Scholastic Math & Science Magazines

How We Fund Our Programs

We have several sources of funds. Membership, General Donations, and our Amazon Smile Account supply much needed funding.
Picture Day is organized and run by the PVC PTA and is our second largest source of funds. This year we contracted with All Star Photography and Maria Slippen spearheaded this effort. The Spring Scholastic Book Fair, held in May, is a wonderful fundraiser that encourages reading and helps supply classrooms with new reading materials. |
